This Privacy Policy explains how Aetlas Group LLC, doing business as Joovi Systems ("Joovi", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use joovi.net, the Joovi apps, and related services.
1. Our role
Joovi is the controller of account and platform data. When you register for an event, the event's Organizer is an independent controller of the registration information they receive and is responsible for how they use it.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, password (stored securely hashed), profile photo, and profile details you choose to add.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data.
- Organizer information: organization name, website, location, events, and billing details.
- Registration information: the details an event asks for, such as name, email, and optionally phone number for SMS reminders.
- Payment information: processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device information: pages viewed, browser, device type, approximate location from IP address, and cookie identifiers, subject to your cookie choices.
3. How we use information
- To provide, secure, and improve the Services (contract and legitimate interests).
- To process subscriptions and payments (contract).
- To send service messages, event confirmations, and reminders (contract and legitimate interests).
- To send marketing messages, only with your consent where required (consent).
- To measure and improve our site with analytics, only with your consent where required (consent).
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
4. How we share information
- With Organizers of events you register for.
- With service providers who host, process payments, send email or SMS, and provide analytics, under contracts that protect your data.
- For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Services. With your consent, we use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies. We use Google Consent Mode: if you decline, Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot identify you. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
6. Data retention
- Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymized within 90 days after you close it, unless the law requires longer.
- Records of your cookie consent choices are kept for 5 years to demonstrate compliance.
- Billing records are kept as required by tax and accounting laws.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. 8. International transfers
Joovi is based in the United States. When we transfer data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes will be notified in advance.
